Valentine's Party

Wow, I haven't written on my blog since the first day of school! That's pretty sad! I am determined to get better at this. We had our party the Friday before Valentine's Day since daddy was off and one of the main reasons we homeschool is to make it flow with his crazy 24/7 on call schedule. For crafts we made a chain Valentine swag to decorate the school room, tissue heart craft and cookies. It was a LOVEly day!

My son started his first day of first grade! Woohoo! He was a little nervous the night before so we said a prayer to calm his nerves. I think it helped. Well, he woke up in a great mood and was excited to start school. I decorated the room w/a "Welcome to First Grade" sign and his desk was filled w/school supplies and goodies to start the year off. We celebrated our first day of school at Ale House b/c the kids meals are so inexpensive and my husband and I always split the Fish Tacos that are to die for. Mmmm! Also, my son loves that he can watch baseball on 25 different TV's simultaneously. All in all, it was a great start to what I hope will be an AWESOME year.
